The hit song was composed by the Canadian singer along with Max Martin and Oscar Holter. A remix of “Blinding Lights” featuring Rosalía was released in December. It was also featured in the artist's impressive Super Bowl halftime show, complete with a stunning stage production.
In a pre-show interview, his representative said that the musician would finance the show by putting up his own money so that the show would be "just as he imagined it."
“We always had the Super Bowl on our bucket list, and we always set deadlines for all our goals. This came sooner than expected,” said Amir Cash Esmailian, another of the singer’s producers.
In early January, the Canadian artist released the video for “Save Your Tears” and revealed his new look, causing a stir on social media. He drew attention with a stylized nose, full lips, and puffy cheeks.
